Everton season ticket campaign 2015/16

I was heavily involved with a hardworking marketing team who were very receptive to ideas, on the creative work for the concept and design of Everton Football Club's 2015/16 Season Ticket Campaign. It involved extensive research, consultation, and development along the way to produce the final result.

Everton is a true family club with strong traditional values that does not forget its past. It is a club with a strong sense of identity and a deep connection to its community, and it was a genuine pleasure to work on this campaign.

The concept was inspired by the terrace chant and the idea of the "authenticity" of the Everton fan. "We are Chosen" was the central theme, which later in the campaign extended to "Born not manufactured." Imagery of purchased players was used with the "Chosen" message, while homegrown players were featured in the "Born" aspect. The photography used an HD treatment to give the images an ultra-realistic feel.

The work featured on the 12elfman football blog, as well as in local and trade press, after a great response from Everton and football fans in general.

Authenticity

The concept was carried through into a promotional video featuring, players, staff and fans. “Evertonians are born not manufactured. We do not choose, we are chosen. Those who understand need no explanation.”
