Horse and Jockey
Identity and branding work for a South Manchester public house. Invitations, stationery and additional material.
Originally three cottages formed the front part of the pub which reportedly dated back to 1512. Their first use when they became ‘connected’ as a school, with the premises becoming an inn and coach house in the early 1800s. The name derives from the horse racing which used to take place in nearby Chorlton Park.
Prior to the incumbent owners (Holts brewery) a run down and tried Horse and Jockey Pub was bought and renovated by Peter Andrew Dalton, owner of Hoi Polloi Pub Co Limited. Transforming it into a community jewel in the crown set in the fine location overlooking Chorlton’s leafy Green.
